What changed in each version.
- Analysis preview for the plans without the Analysis workspace: a read-only demonstration of the full report, computed beforehand, and a diagnostic of your own measurement files telling which analyses they allow — read in the browser, without any analysis result.
- The Analysis workspace reads CCSDS TDM files, and computes the phase angle from the geometry when a file does not give it. TDM segments are split into nights, as measurement CSV files are.
- Plans, set apart by what you bring in: Trial (predefined models, sensors and observatories; nothing in, nothing out), Simulations (your objects, sensors, sites and orbits; exports, batch and API), Operations (your measurements and the Analysis workspace), plus an Academic plan for public teaching and research; Trial is a free 7-day trial. On-premises deployment and custom developments become add-ons.
- Accounts: the hosted service opens to signed-in users; invitations, password reset, roles, seats and the licence of each organisation; the server sends only the modules the licence covers. Deployment as a Docker image, for the hosted service and on premises.
- Browser check across Chrome, Edge, Firefox and WebKit (Safari’s engine).
- The product is now called LightCurve (lightcurve.space). Licence keys start with
LC1.. - Photometric bands: B, V, R, I, Gaia G and unfiltered CMOS, with the colour of the Sun and of the materials, extinction, sky and detector response per band.
- DISCOS shapes get suitable materials (solar cells, composite, metal antennas, niobium nozzles); more realistic measurement errors in the Analysis demonstration history, and a more robust analysis.
- Analysis workspace: historical photometry of many objects as a report of linked charts — behaviour classes, rotation trend and abrupt changes, glints and facets, angular coverage, size, symmetry, anomaly monitor, population view, comparison between objects; a track opens in the simulator.
- DISCOS shapes: the 20 most frequent shapes of ESA’s DISCOS, built from their dimensions and cross-sections; import from a DISCOS export.
- Observer in orbit defined by a TLE; Sun exclusion and limb clearance.
- CCSDS TDM, OEM and AEM, read and written.
- Measured BRDF tables on the GPU.
- Joint fit of several nights and stations; attitude-state classification.
- Synthetic datasets and validation on published magnitudes.
- Sensor catalogue (9 telescope + camera systems), binning, saturation.
- Hubble, Tiangong and Atlas V Centaur models.
- Licensing groundwork: four tiers, signed licence keys, build plans, licence panel.
- English documentation site.
- Real observations (CSV), stations files, station recovered from the angles; extinction estimated from the weather.
- Automatic fit, period search; CAD import; free tumbling; flash prediction; Monte-Carlo uncertainty; refraction and refracted light in the umbra.
- Batch mode; English interface; curves computed in the background.
First version: GPU photometry, 10 parametric models, signed phase angle, TLE orbits and passes, rotation, daylight constraints.
